Jabil’s Defense and Aerospace Services (JDAS) facility in St. Petersburg, Florida, recently achieved accreditation from the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap). This accreditation allows JDAS to expand its capabilities to current and future customers alongside the broader quality management system for the aerospace industry, the AS9100 certification.
“Nadcap certification is a natural extension of Jabil's desire to meet and exceed our customer's needs and expectations,” said Bill Frake, Senior Director of Business Development for Jabil. “We initiated this process in our St. Petersburg facility and are continuing the process with our additional facilities. This capability will not only improve our quality system but will also attract more aerospace opportunities to Jabil’s Defense and Aerospace global facilities.”
“Achieving Nadcap accreditation is not easy: it is one of the ways in which the aerospace industry identifies those who excel at manufacturing quality product through superior special processes. Companies such as Jabil work hard to obtain this status and they should be justifiably proud of it,” said Joe Pinto, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Performance Review Institute.
