The foundation of Jabil’s Respect. Recognize. Reward. program is built on a respectful work environment where everyone is empowered to contribute to the success of the company. The program’s goal is to discover, highlight and share employees’ superior performance and their commitment to helping others.
Employee recognition has always been an integral part of Jabil’s culture and, following our belief in empowerment, each site designed its local recognition program to fit its unique culture. When the Respect. Recognize. Reward. program was developed in 2010, it was critical that sites continue to run its local programs while at the same time, giving them the ability to submit exceptional employees for global recognition. This structure has resulted in hundreds of Jabil employees, from all departments, locations and functions, to be recognized and celebrated each quarter. Employees’ actions and results vary, but their contributions all support Jabil’s Guiding Principles.
Joanna Brojek appreciates the simple things in life. As Buyer at Jabil Kwidzyn, she balances the fast-paced nature of her career with her personal life as a wife and mother. She spends most of her time outside of work with her two children or tending to her flower garden.
“I have a son and a daughter who both have completely different interests — they always keep me moving,” said Joanna. “I help my son Jan build anything he can imagine through his love for Legos. My daughter Lena is interested in animals so right now we have two guinea pigs.”
Her flower garden is her escape from life’s hectic pace. “Flowers are grateful listeners and each flower has its own special charm,” said Joanna. “There is something magical about watching a garden come to life in the Spring, especially with the array of different color flowers I plant. I mostly have tulips and narcissus in my garden, but my favorite flower is the orchid variety.”
She also enjoys exploring new places with her family. Recently, they’ve been traveling across Poland to explore the many Gothic castles throughout the country. “My husband is intrigued by Middle Age architecture — so most of our trips are usually associated with visiting such places,” said Joanna.
In the near future, she hopes to visit Scotland or Spain with her family to learn about their culture, lifestyle and to admire the beautiful landscape. “Spending time with my family is something I value the most,” she adds. Even at home, they often go for long walks in the Polish countryside, enjoying the simplicity of winding country roads and its views.
Whether its spending time with her children, tending to her flower garden, or traveling to new places with her family, Joanna always takes the time to admire the beauty of life.
