The foundation of Jabil’s Respect. Recognize. Reward. program is built on a respectful work environment where everyone is empowered to contribute to the success of the company. The program’s goal is to discover, highlight and share employees’ superior performance and their commitment to helping others.
Employee recognition has always been an integral part of Jabil’s culture and, following our belief in empowerment, each site designed its local recognition program to fit its unique culture. When the Respect. Recognize. Reward. program was developed in 2010, it was critical that sites continue to run its local programs while at the same time, giving them the ability to submit exceptional employees for global recognition. This structure has resulted in hundreds of Jabil employees, from all departments, locations and functions, to be recognized and celebrated each quarter. Employees’ actions and results vary, but their contributions all support Jabil’s Guiding Principles.
As a Buyer for Jabil’s Uzhgorod facility for the past four years, Olga Oleksienko carries out various responsibilities on a daily basis. Her outgoing and approachable nature enables her to build and maintain lasting relationships with suppliers and other Jabil sites.
This approach led her to be recognized by Jabil’s Respect. Recognize. Reward. program by coworkers at another site - Jabil Tver appreciated her selfless collaboration to maximize customer goodwill and to contribute to the overall success of the company.
“My role has given me the opportunity to increase my knowledge and understanding of the industry,” says Olga. “I’ve also gained an insight to Russian culture, which is pretty interesting.”
Olga has a passion for travel that has taken her to several of Europe’s most fascinating destinations. “Europe is so diverse with many cultures to discover,” says Olga. “One day, I hope to travel more extensively around the world because I believe that traveling is the best way to broaden your horizons and gain a deeper understanding of the world around you.”
In her free time, Olga embraces the picturesque landscape and architecture of her hometown of Uzhgorod. “I enjoy spending time with nature because it allows me to relax and unwind,” says Olga. “Being at the top of a mountain with no internet reception is the perfect escape.”
When she is not at work, she relishes the time she gets to spend with her family and the long walks she takes with her dog. “It’s important to maintain a healthy work life balance,” says Olga. “My family means the world to me.”
