The foundation of Jabil’s Respect. Recognize. Reward. program is built on a respectful work environment where everyone is empowered to contribute to the success of the company. The program’s goal is to discover, highlight and share employees’ superior performance and their commitment to helping others.
Employee recognition has always been an integral part of Jabil’s culture and, following our belief in empowerment, each site designed its local recognition program to fit its unique culture. When the Respect. Recognize. Reward. program was developed in 2010, it was critical that sites continue to run its local programs while at the same time, giving them the ability to submit exceptional employees for global recognition. This structure has resulted in hundreds of Jabil employees, from all departments, locations and functions, to be recognized and celebrated each quarter. Employees’ actions and results vary, but their contributions all support Jabil’s Guiding Principles.
In her two short years at Jabil, St. Petersburg Plant Senior Buyer Sarah Crudo has established a reputation for her commitment and dedication to taking great care of our customers. “My favorite part of my job is the daily customer interaction and finding ways to maximize their relationship and value with Jabil,” says Sarah. “I strive to build excellence in everything that I do.” Sarah’s role at Jabil is multifaceted, but most importantly it’s to ensure an uninterrupted supply and availability of needed parts and materials.
Sarah has connected with Jabil’s culture by building strong bonds with her colleagues, which oftentimes entails unwinding at the end of the week to celebrate a job well done. “The St. Petersburg Plant truly adheres to Jabil’s ‘Work hard, Play hard’ motto,” she says. “There is an abundant amount of heart and dedication here — it’s evident through my interactions with my co-workers.”
As a native of Michigan, Sarah enjoys attending various Tampa Bay vs. Detroit sporting events throughout the year with fellow Michigan friends who have made the big move to Florida. “I’m a Tigers and Red Wings fan at heart — I don’t see that changing anytime soon,” she jokes.
One of the many changes Sarah does enjoy is the year round ‘tropical’ climate of St. Petersburg. She has embraced the white sand and clear blue water of the area’s many world-renown beaches. Another interest of hers is exploring downtown St. Petersburg’s vibrant cultural scene.
In the future, Sarah hopes to travel to Europe; particularly Italy, Greece and France because of her family’s ancestral roots. “I’m fascinated with learning about new cultures and experiencing local food.” she adds.
