Culture of Respect

The foundation of Jabil’s Respect. Recognize. Reward. program is built on a respectful work environment where everyone is empowered to contribute to the success of the company. The program’s goal is to discover, highlight and share employees’ superior performance and their commitment to helping others.

Employee recognition has always been an integral part of Jabil’s culture and, following our belief in empowerment, each site designed its local recognition program to fit its unique culture. When the Respect. Recognize. Reward. program was developed in 2010, it was critical that sites continue to run its local programs while at the same time, giving them the ability to submit exceptional employees for global recognition. This structure has resulted in hundreds of Jabil employees, from all departments, locations and functions, to be recognized and celebrated each quarter. Employees’ actions and results vary, but their contributions all support Jabil’s Guiding Principles.

As a member of the Human Resources team at Jabil’s Pune, India site, Shivaji Yadav understands the importance of how strong employee engagement increases morale, pride and job satisfaction. For the past five years, he’s been helping coordinate some of the site’s most important services to its employees including the cafeteria, daycare, medical facility, and employee lockers.

Shivaji’s hard work and dedication to the betterment of others earned him global recognition in Jabil’sRespect. Recognize. Reward. program. “I was happy to see my manager and other team members appreciate my contributions and value my work,” said Shivaji. “This is a great achievement in a my career at Jabil.”

“I approach assignments with 100 percent commitment,” said Shivaji. “Being a result-oriented individual, I strive to complete tasks for the benefit of my team, site and company.” In the future, he wishes use his skills and experiences to advance into a senior management position in Human Resources.

When he’s not coordinating valuable services to his co-workers, Shivaji spends time on his farm with his family. He also likes playing cricket, one of India’s national pastimes, with his friends. Additionally, he embraces his Indian culture through its bountiful traditions.

“We have a festival rich culture,” said Shivaji. “I enjoy celebrating my Maharashtrian heritage at the Dasera, Diwali and Ganesh festivals that are held throughout the year.”
