The foundation of Jabil’s Respect. Recognize. Reward. program is built on a respectful work environment where everyone is empowered to contribute to the success of the company. The program’s goal is to discover, highlight and share employees’ superior performance and their commitment to helping others.
Employee recognition has always been an integral part of Jabil’s culture and, following our belief in empowerment, each site designed its local recognition program to fit its unique culture. When the Respect. Recognize. Reward. program was developed in 2010, it was critical that sites continue to run its local programs while at the same time, giving them the ability to submit exceptional employees for global recognition. This structure has resulted in hundreds of Jabil employees, from all departments, locations and functions, to be recognized and celebrated each quarter. Employees’ actions and results vary, but their contributions all support Jabil’s Guiding Principles.
As a Human Resources Generalist at Jabil’s Tiszaujvaros site, Anita Pallagi relishes the opportunity to work with a diverse group of individuals who have different skills, abilities and life experiences. She considers these traits an asset to the workplace culture and what helps set Jabil apart from other companies.
“My dedication and inspiration comes from the people I work with on a daily basis, they’ve become my second family,” says Anita.
Anita points to her colleagues with physical challenges as one of company’s greatest assets and the source of her inspiration. “They’re proof that success is possible with the right attitude and determination.” She developed a plan to ensure equal opportunity amongst all employees which encourages individuals to strive for their full potential no matter of any physical disability.
In addition, Anita created the Jabil Maternity Mail which informs employees who are on maternity leave about company news, policies and events. “The site is more of a community than a place of work,” she says. The newsletter allows employees to feel more comfortable upon returning to work knowing that they’re kept informed on various activities at the plant.
Her efforts haven’t gone unnoticed. Jabil Tiszaujvaros was named one of Hungarian’s Top 10 Diverse and Family-Friendly Workplaces for the second time. Always humble, Anita claims she’s just doing what she believes is right - making a difference, the Jabil difference.
