The foundation of Jabil’s Respect. Recognize. Reward. program is built on a respectful work environment where everyone is empowered to contribute to the success of the company. The program’s goal is to discover, highlight and share employees’ superior performance and their commitment to helping others.
Employee recognition has always been an integral part of Jabil’s culture and, following our belief in empowerment, each site designed its local recognition program to fit its unique culture. When the Respect. Recognize. Reward. program was developed in 2010, it was critical that sites continue to run its local programs while at the same time, giving them the ability to submit exceptional employees for global recognition. This structure has resulted in hundreds of Jabil employees, from all departments, locations and functions, to be recognized and celebrated each quarter. Employees’ actions and results vary, but their contributions all support Jabil’s Guiding Principles.
As a Test Engineer at Jabil’s Penang, Malaysia location, YeePei Ng develops software applications to improve operational processes and efficiencies. Relatively new to Jabil, YeePei has showcased herself as a blossoming talent amongst her peers and management.
“I was surprised of the news that I was receiving global recognition,” said YeePei. “I’m proud that my efforts were recognized and that my work is being used to drive continuous improvement throughout Jabil.”
Driven by the unknown, YeePei enjoys learning, developing new skills, and solving daily challenges. In addition, she appreciates Jabil’s collaborative culture and the opportunities to help her coworkers find solutions.
“Right now, my main focus is a ‘Lean & Green’ initiative,” said YeePei. “We’re putting an increased emphasis on being environmentally cognizant by decreasing the amount of paper and other items used in daily manufacturing duties.”
Outside of work, YeePei sees the world is her canvas. “I want to travel anywhere I can. I wish to learn about new cultures, lifestyles and people,” she says.
