Jabil to List on the New York Stock Exchange

22 April 1998
St. Petersburg, Florida

Jabil Circuit, Inc. (NASDAQ: JBIL), today announced it has filed a listing application with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and has been informed by the NYSE that the company meets the eligibility requirements for listing its Common Stock.

Jabil Circuit has traded on the NASDAQ National Market System under the symbol "JBIL" since April 1993, when the Company completed its initial public offering. Pending NYSE authorization, Jabil Circuit trading on NYSE is anticipated to begin during the first week of May 1998, under the trading symbol "JBL." After Jabil´s shares are listed on the NYSE, the Company will delist its shares from NASDAQ.

"We have considered making this move for some time," said Thomas Sansone, president of Jabil Circuit. "We believe that listing on the NYSE will provide greater stability, tighter quotation spreads and a broader potential investor base."
