Jabil Achieves International Aerospace Certification

(NYSE: JBL) today announced its Billerica, Massachusetts and St. Petersburg, Florida facilities have achieved international recognition as AS 9100 aerospace-registered operations. Certification is a critical step in obtaining aerospace contracts because it is the highest level of qualification for aerospace manufacturers.

Jabil continues to pursue additional partnerships in the aerospace segment as part of its ongoing diversification efforts. The AS 9100 certification assures aerospace companies that certified providers' facilities, management and processes meet international aerospace requirements necessary for the safety, reliability and quality of space, aviation, and defense systems. The certification is the result of a collaborative international effort by aerospace companies and international quality organizations. Requirements for the AS 9100 certification include configuration management; reliability, maintainability, and safety; material, manufacturing, and quality processes; verification, validation, and testing; lifecycle support; internal audit; and technical documentation.

Jabil's Billerica and St. Petersburg facilities, like all Jabil manufacturing facilities, have ISO 9000 and other international quality certifications.
