Jabil Circuit, Inc. (NYSE: JBL) today announced several key management promotions and changes for the global electronics manufacturing company. The position transitions will begin immediately and will become effective at the start of the company's fiscal year, September 1, 2004.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Chris Lewis will be assuming the position of Vice President of Business Development. "It has been my long-term desire to contribute to Jabil beyond the CFO role. Treasurer Forbes Alexander will succeed Chris Lewis as the CFO. Alexander has been with Jabil since 1993 and served as Treasurer since 1996. "We are fortunate to have such a strong and experienced internal candidate to succeed Chris. We expect a continuity of excellence from the CFO position," said Timothy L. Main, President and CEO.

In addition, Jabil promoted Bill Muir to Senior Vice President, Regional President for Asia and Bill Peters to Senior Vice President, Regional President of the Americas. John Lovato, Senior Vice President, will relocate to Europe and join Europe Chief Operating Officer Michel Charriau's staff in this growing and important region. Joe McGee was promoted to Senior Vice President, Global Business Development to succeed Lovato.

"I am pleased that Chris will be able to fulfill his desire to do more for Jabil from a new position. I am also delighted that we have such a high caliber person in Forbes to step into the CFO role, providing continuity to our organization and shareholders," commented Main. "The Regional Presidents will localize management strength and focus, making us more responsive to regional needs while preserving our independent business unit model," he said.
