WiFi & ZigBee

WiFi and ZigBee are technologies at the heart of device communication and the Internet of Things. Everything from home automation to embedded sensing and industrial controls depend upon these technologies. Jabil’s advanced expertise in designing, developing and manufacturing WiFi and ZigBee enabled devices provides a trusted and reliable business partner for our customers, saving them both time and money.

Jabil brings together various technologies, materials and manufacturing techniques from our divergent experience and product base. We provide a strong springboard for our customers to create and manufacture their desired products with expertise and efficiency.

Communication Gateways

Many factors must be considered when designing a WiFi or ZigBee enabled device. Typically, these devices need to interface with multiple protocols, security access points and network data. Protocol management and translation may be required if a communication infrastructure in one part of the network is not compatible with the communication infrastructure in a separate part of the network.

When designing these devices, Jabil’s expert design engineers take the following into consideration:

  • Types of protocol the device will interface with
  • Security
  • Data rates
  • Number of nodes in the network
  • Ability to configure the device for scalable or flexible deployment
  • Ease of deployment
  • Cost
