From military surveillance and surgeries to household appliances and drones, advanced robotics is all around us. Robots save lives in some instances, while improving efficiency or providing companionship in others. Simply put, advanced robotics solves problems. In today’s world we see the technological capabilities of robots expanding as science and engineering continue their march forward. Increasingly, robots are utilizing enhanced sensors and exhibiting remarkable intelligence and dexterity. In an industry of rapid change, greater expertise will be needed for vision planning, prototyping and the manufacture of robotics technology in what seems to be an ever-growing range of applications. The manufacture of non-robotics products, too, will only benefit from robot-based automation in the factories of the future.
