    Heliane Tuda Manaus

Heliane begins each morning at Jabil Manaus greeting employees with an exuberant Bom Dia! You can tell, after over 26 years in the manufacturing industry, this is where she wants to be, this is home. When Heliane started at Jabil last year, she was eager to reinvigorate Jabil’s cultural values into its everyday operations. “I saw opportunities to connect the Leader Academy program and our community outreach initiatives to do the most good for Manaus.” The result was Gincana do bem, a friendly spirited competition amongst teams at the site to help local organizations who support children facing neglect, abandonment, learning disabilities and HIV. “I didn’t imagine the result of this project would have such a profound impact on uniting our employees together and providing significant change to four local organizations.”

    Martin Yao Taichung

In high school, Martin Yao discovered his passion for a career in design, as he learned about machine drawing – creating depictions and sketches of machine components and details to show how it would function. His dedication to innovation has extended from his studies into his work at Jabil Green Point’s facility in Taichung where he has worked for 13 years. In his position, Martin travels frequently for work, which is an opportunity he appreciates, saying it’s one of the best things about working at Jabil. “I can connect and work with people around the world, which gives me a chance to gain knowledge and learn about new technologies used in other regions,” he said. With this positive attitude, Martin has helped create a successful career for himself and those around him by working with a global and collaborative frame of mind. Nothing makes him more proud than when his team gets new business projects awarded to them. Martin’s passion for innovation has inspired him to lead with ingenuity and create success for him, his team and our customers, proving to his younger self that he made the right career choice.

    Luis Armenta Baja

With a background in engineering, Luis Armenta meets customer demands every day on the production floor at Nypro Baja. But nothing could prepare him for the news he received one day ... his mother had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Needing to secure another viable blood donor (besides himself), Luis frantically contacted more than 50 people in just a few days. For those facing serious health battles, the strict donation requirements make the process very frustrating and emotional. Luis wanted to help others who face similar obstacles, so he created Comparte Vida (translated to “Share Life”): a registry of Jabil employees who meet the basic requirements and are available to donate blood for coworkers and their loved ones. Luis’ inspirational story captured the hearts of his Nypro Baja family – 303 employees are registered volunteers and 73 have already donated blood. Luis’ desire to help others comes naturally and is reinforced each day at work. He explains, “Jabil's culture encourages and embraces supporting one another. We're all a big family at Jabil. We are not our titles; we are humans, and we need to do what’s right.”

    Tamas Szoke Tiszaújváros

It doesn’t take long being around Tamas Szoke to feel the energy, passion and excitement he displays for taking great care of our people and the environment at Jabil’s facility in Tiszaújváros. It started at a young age, curious about how the human world interacts with the natural world. That set the foundation for his interest in environmental sustainability and helping lead workplaces in reducing their carbon footprint and the health and safety of others. “I’m always thinking about the employee experience; how can my customer, the employee, work safely each day?” said Tamas. “It takes a bold approach to enact initiatives and projects that make the right change and do the most good – new challenges provide opportunities to raise the bar even higher for ourselves.” When Tamas first took the role as Environment, Health & Safety Manager, he used his ingenuity to create a warehouse operation built on impeccable safety; equipping forklifts with collision warning systems, cameras and signal lights. As a leader, Tamas says “You need to ensure everyone’s aware of the potential risks of not working safely, including the impact your actions can have on others.”

    Ewa Marecka Hanover Park

Diversity is an important part of Ewa Marecka’s personal and professional life. Originally from Poland, Ewa and her family moved to the United States in 1991, assimilating after learning English through American music and television. Two years later, she began working at Jabil’s Hanover Park facility in the state of Illinois. Throughout her career at Jabil, she has held a variety of positions in production and quality to her current role as the site’s Human Resources Assistant. The one thing she has always enjoyed no matter what department she worked in was the chance to meet new people, especially those, like herself, who are from other countries. Being part of the Human Resources team gives her a perfect opportunity to meet people from all backgrounds with a variety of experiences to understand how they can benefit Jabil. Ewa uses her position to support Jabil Hanover Park’s diversity efforts by overseeing recruitment efforts, hiring production employees and managing temporary labor. “We’re very diverse here, with employees from Bosnia, Columbia, Guatemala, Lithuania, Mexico, the Philippines and Vietnam,” Ewa said. “In addition to meeting job qualifications, I also look for candidates who will fit this diverse culture.”

    Serhiy Podlevskiy Uzhgorod

Serhiy Podlevskiy, operations project manager at Jabil Uzhgorod, brings our culture of Inspiration to youth in the Ukraine community and beyond. Recently, Serhiy was asked to organize a workshop as part of a community festival. “To make a technical workshop interesting, we needed a charismatic leader who is also well-skilled in our assigned topic of problem-solving tactics. Serhiy is a proactive leader, who is highly-dedicated to self-development, so I knew he was the right person for the job!” said Marina Kapats, human resources manager. Using his Six Sigma Lean skills, Serhiy taught risk assessment and root cause analysis to more than 100 students. He came up with a creative approach to the topic by having students create a process for cooking the best steaks using Jabil’s standard production methodologies. Through this innovative approach, he was able to teach the students about Jabil, the industry and the fun ways to apply technical skills. His superpower is his hunger for new knowledge and to continuously learn and improve. “If I have a chance to do so, I’m always happy to help and encourage people around me,” he said.

    Eric Qian Wuxi

Quality has always been a part of Eric Qian’s career, from his education in engineering to his first job as a customer quality engineer to his current role at Jabil Wuxi. “Jabil’s culture of Integrity is what connects my passion with my work,” said Eric. “Sometimes my peers joke that I come across like the ‘integrity police’, but it’s just too important for me to remove it from everything I do!” While his work aligns to Jabil’s culture of integrity, Eric is also a responsible leader in the community. He is part of Jabil Wuxi’s Dandelion Group, the site’s community outreach committee, and regularly volunteers at the group’s organized activities. His favorite event is the movies with the blind, where employees talk through movie scenes, so the visually impaired members of the community can still enjoy major motion pictures. Born in Wuxi, Eric is especially helpful at these events because he is one of the few who can fluently speak the local language and uses his unique skill to help those in need. This also demonstrates how his trustworthy work ethic extends into the community: “It’s all about trust, and the visually impaired quickly connect with me because of our shared ability to speak the same language,” Eric said.

    Janeth Esquivel Guadalajara

Janeth Esquivel immediately felt drawn to Jabil’s culture, from the employees to the community outreach. She joined Jabil in 2014, coming from an international professional services and audit firm where Janeth discovered her passion for tax. Given the number of customers she interacted with at the company, she was able to learn more about the external visions of many companies, which was how she was introduced to Jabil. “Right away, I felt excited about Jabil’s culture – from the collaborative teams to their commitment to the community,” Janeth said. After she joined Jabil, she quickly realized her work ethic and skills were a perfect match for our company. “Ever since my childhood, my parents have instilled the importance of honest and ethical behaviors, regardless of the situation,” she said. “For me, this value of Integrity is important for my work in finance and is crucial in treating others with respect and fairness.” As a Senior Tax Accountant at Jabil Guadalajara, Janeth stays accountable with her actions, always keeping in mind the best interests of her entire team. This dedication was clearly seen through her successful implementation of the Electronic Accounting Team, a result of new regulations issued by the Mexican Tax Authorities. Her commitment extends into the community where she participates in Jabil Cares activities, with her favorite being the holiday toy donation for underserved youth.

    Teresa Mina Singapore

“What I like most about working here is the family-like environment where my colleagues – from managers to entry-level employees – have strong bonds and have the chance to interact with each other daily,” she said. It’s this welcoming feeling that brought her to Jabil in the first place: “Jabil’s culture of investing in its employees is what attracted me the most.” Even when there are tough projects, every day passes as a great day for Teresa due to the strong support her team has for one another. Along with contributing to the company culture by being accountable, trustworthy and putting her team’s needs above hers, Teresa also contributes to the community that helped her as a child. Teresa donates to Father Al’s Children Foundation, Inc., in the Philippines, to help with financial support for children’s education funds. She was once a recipient of a secondary school scholarship given by the organization, so supporting them now is just her simple way of showing gratitude. Without her strong educational foundation, she wouldn’t be where she is today, and she wants to help provide that opportunity to another child in need.
