Jabil Celebrates Employees Making a Difference

Two important elements of Jabil’s culture, continuous improvement for our customers and helping local communities, are coming together in a celebration of the good employees are accomplishing – both inside and outside of Jabil.

The 32 teams who competed in the global finals for our continuous improvement program, Deliver Best Practices, also took the time to share the inspiring efforts at their respective sites for Jabil Cares, our global community outreach and volunteerism platform.

The teams returned home from the global finals with a renewed sense of inspiration to do good, and additional funds to help a non-profit in their local community that aligns with one of Jabil Cares’ three focus areas: Education, Empowerment and the Environment. From purchasing equipment for a local technical school to donating medical equipment for children living with cystic fibrosis to providing rainwater collection systems for potable water to low income families, Jabil employees are changing the world we live in, one passion-fueled project at a time.

Jabil Senior Vice President Beth Walters explained, “With these funds, employees have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their community. We have 100-plus sites all over the world – if they all implemented just one project, we know we are making a powerful impact.”  Walters noted that many of our global sites are doing multiple charitable events during the year.

Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing the inspiring stories of how some of our Jabil sites and employees are improving our communities and the world around us.
