Jabil is developing a new 3D Omnidirectional vision system for autonomous mobile robots and collaborative robot platforms.
The ultra-wide FOV format sensor, based on ToF technology, lowers system costs by reducing the number of depth sensors required to support obstacle detection and collision avoidance algorithms. The innovative solid-state sensor provides up to 360° x 60° of depth information at 30fps.
