Photovoltaic Testing | PV Testing

The Jabil Solar and Environmental Test Center (JSEC) was created in 2011 to assist our customers in every stage of the Photovoltaic (PV) module development cycle, such as Photovoltaic testing per IEC and UL standards, PV component evaluation, module design, manufacturing, reliability testing and failure analysis. JSEC offers PV testing programs for module qualification per IEC 61215, 61646, 61730, UL 1703, and ASTM. JSEC’s capabilities also include chamber tests for batteries, inverters, and micro-inverters per IEEE 1725, UL 1642, UL 1973, UL 8540, IEC 62093, UL 1741, and many others.

JSEC has been leading the activities of PVQAT Task Group 4 on Bypass Diodes since 2011. Every year, several research papers are presented by JSEC in leading conferences in Photovoltaic such as IEEE PVSC, EU PVSEC, and PV Module Reliability Workshops.

Members of the technical staff at JSEC are actively involved in standards development bodies such as US-TAG, IEC, and ASTM shaping the development of future PV test standards. JSEC actively collaborates with research groups in the United States and abroad to develop innovative proposals for various government funding opportunities.
