Jabil Healthcare facility in the Dominican Republic expected to generate 500+ new job opportunities
Santo Domingo, DR – February 23, 2021 – Jabil Inc. (NYSE: JBL) today announced the expansion of its healthcare manufacturing operations outside the Dominican Republic capital city of Santo Domingo. The new facility features over 60,000 square feet of manufacturing space in Bajos de Haina’s PIISA Industrial Park, part of the area’s fast-growing free trade zone.
Construction on the site began in 2019 and now includes a 36,000 ft. clean/dry room, operated by a trained workforce of more than 140 associates. The expansion is expected to generate more than 500 new job opportunities in the upcoming quarter.
