Jabil Wins Supply Chain Innovation and Professional Awards

Supply Chain Asia Forum Recognizes Jabil’s Digital Supply Chain Transformation

Singapore – 11 September 2019 –  Jabil (NYSE: JBL) received two awards at the 2019 Supply Chain Asia Forum (SCAF) hosted in Singapore this week, including The Supply Chain Innovation of the Year (Smart Logistics) and Supply Chain Professional of the Year Award, recognizing  Kee Wee Ng, Vice President, Supply Chain for the Enterprise & Infrastructure division of Jabil.

In the enterprise category, Jabil garnered the Supply Chain Innovation of the Year award for its Jabil InControl™ intelligent supply chain analytics and decision support platform. Jabil InControl™ delivers invaluable insights into customers’ global supply chains, including components, materials and lowest landed costs. Using predictive modeling and advanced analytics, the platform has improved cross-functional collaboration while making it easier to quickly identify and action concerns, risks and opportunities in the supply chain.

“We are honored to receive this recognition. Jabil strives to maintain an innovation mindset that continuously delivers value for its supplier partners and customers,” said Kee Wee Ng, Vice President, Supply Chain, Enterprise & Infrastructure division of Jabil. “Our empowered experts, best practices and use of digital supply chain platforms such as InControl™ provide high-impact opportunities and translate them into meaningful outcomes.”

Paul Lim, Founder and President, Supply Chain Asia, sponsor of the Forum, concurred, “In an increasingly fraught landscape accentuated by geopolitical tensions and increased natural disasters, we are just beginning to make sense of the new normal. Yet, transforming global supply chains to accommodate the realities of the new normal is no small task. Organizations need digitally connected global views of supply, demand, labor, capability and cost. Bearing this in mind, judges were impressed by the features of Jabil InControl™ in delivering an unbiased point of view for comprehensive scenario planning.”

Supply chain leader Ng won the second award, the Supply Chain Professional of the Year Award. With more than 25 years of leadership experience in supply chain management, program management and operations, Ng builds multiple highly successful global teams. At Jabil, Ng has led several key global sourcing initiatives that facilitate seamless collaboration, connect capabilities and solutions across Jabil’s global supply chain eco-system. With a strong passion for social causes, Ng pioneered Jabil Singapore’s corporate social responsibility program and continues to play an active role in various community outreach activities.

Held annually since 2006, the SCAF brings together the best minds of supply chain and logistics in Asia to deliberate, discuss and explore major issues, opportunities and challenges impacting the industry. Jabil is an exhibiting sponsor at this year’s event at the Resorts World Sentosa, booth C2.

On behalf of more than 300 customers, Jabil manages more than 27,000 suppliers and 700,000 part numbers across a significant global footprint.
