Newsweek Recognizes Jabil on 2020 List of America’s Most Responsible Companies

Newsweek partnered with global data research firm Statista Inc. to publish its first ranking of America's Most Responsible Companies, and Jabil is honored to be featured.

Selected from 2000 public companies based on criteria aligned to environmental, social, and corporate governance program execution and outcomes, the Newsweek list recognizes companies doing the most good. Jabil is honored to be 118 on the list of 300.

Jabil’s ranking comes on the heels of significant momentum in its social responsibility initiatives as it drives operational advancement around energy efficiency, sustainable products and services introduction, reduced reliance on natural resources – and of course, through the committed community involvement and volunteerism of its 180,000 employees.

The progress is real and the impacts are substantial. Last year, Jabil:

  • Reduced year-over-year carbon emissions by 49%
  • Sourced 50% of Energy utilization from renewable energy
  • Converted more than 1 billion KwH of electricity and 700,000+ MT of GhG emissions at our highest generating sites
  • Became a signatory of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation Global Commitment, changing how we produce, use and reuse plastic environment.
And this is just the beginning. Jabil drives positive change by responsibly managing its social and environmental impacts and supporting our customers’ commitments to do the same.
